Our website is outwardly geared towards Empowering End Users, Educators and Technologists. 

• We provide free, anonymous access to Education and Software Templates with Sea Change in mind.

Inwardly, it's built for far more than that. 

​If you study our recommendations as they pertain to professional services, you will see we downplay the benefits of third party Bookkeepers, but we encourage everyone in the United States to work with a CPA as soon as their Tax Reporting needs go beyond the most basic of EZ tax filing. 

• Individuals seeking to sub out bookkeeping must be more fluent in bookkeeping fundamentals and the software used by their bookkeeper to avoid massive problems and confusion during a statistically inevitable bookkeeper relationship meltdown.
• Individuals seeking to sub out bookkeeping also need to understand Suspended Expense Accounts (aka Suspense Accounts). Their use as a  "junk drawer" for Balance Sheet imbalances due to QB Online, QB Desktop and other software brand complexities is a mystery for most clients, but not those in the Bookkeeping Trades. 
  • Unresolved imbalances actually nullify a double entry accounting system, although the paying client is unaware of the situation.
  • Unfortunately when they become aware and ask questions, they are often told it's part of the process when there's no reason it ever should have been. 
• We feel Professional Bookkeepers have the potential to play an amazing role in our rollout right alongside CPAs and a bevy of other Professionals, but we also realize many may view this as a significant threat to their current book of business and even their livelihoods. Hopefully many will gladly participate once full clarity on our Societal problems with Intuit, Quickbooks and other larger ones is provided with more clarity below, but time will tell.   

 ZAP Accounting Software offers a level of technological transparency that eliminates the "junk drawer need" for Suspended Expense Accounts for Trial Balances. When used for proper reasons, those balances actually show on our Balance Sheet for absolute clarity in a very unique way. It's refreshing to say the least. 

We've been quietly reaching out to Global Stake Holders across a wide range of industries over the past few years.  This has actually been actively in the works since 2017, and passively in the works since the late 1990s, although the fully functional, self-populating Balance Sheet based on a self-populating General Ledger didn't roll off the presses until mid 2020.

Once familiar with our offerings, many of you will quickly admit we are filling an education and software void that has been quite stressful for you since the 1990s.

The rise of Quickbooks, Intuit and the Digital Age brought hope. Unfortunately, it actually delivered separation and stress between you and your clients, with arguably a loss of efficiency in proper bookkeeping and accounting for most. This was an outcome unforeseen prior to the rise. 

Most of you are actually alienated now from your Small Business clients and non accounting-oriented friends due to the current, main stream Software Offerings and you may not have recognized it so clearly before. With separation came alienation, but that also brought an increase in pay and authority status for many, creating quite conflicting and contradictory feelings. The degradation of math and accounting education in the past 20 years with the rise of the common core math system has compounded separation from the younger generations too. 

Our offerings provide CPAs opportunities for Reconnection with massive doses of Empowerment too. 

If used properly, you can be the Fog Horn in a misty bay or the Beaming Light with new found Powers that dwarf the glow of our new End Users in many ways.

Our offerings provide CPAs with the opportunity to connect with all their clients and younger generations in a far more personal and meaningful way. Gone can be the days when all you had to recommend was Quickbooks or others more costly or confusing while trying to awkwardly explain away the software bloat, cost, overhead and complexity in a simple way. 

Rectifying the entire system as a whole is one of many goals we have for Sea Change, and surprising for most, our "simple" accounting software tool turned out to be quite the unique Catalyst for Sea Change.  

Below we provide a short history of how Intuit and Quickbooks became so dominant.  Unfortunately, much of it was with CPA support.  You are a highly respected Person of Authority in our Society. While it was all you had to recommend for all of your smallest clients for sometime, that Voice of Authority was all it took to build an unhealthy Monopoly. 

Many of you sincerely thought it would get better with time, until it got worse. 

Intuit became more and more controlling.  Once Intuit cemented their monopoly, everyone chased the market leader with similar offerings in hopes of skimming a small percent of business or they started companies dreaming solely of a buyout. Worse yet, other Marketeers created less logical single entry options that confused even more folks already reeling. 

No one produced the tool needed most, as we've just done, because there was no easy money it in for the short term. There is also no exit strategy, making this a very tricky endeavor that was in need of an entirely different commercial model too. 

With CPA support, we can work together to reduce the dominance Intuit gained with your support, while providing you with a way to re-connect with old clients and enjoy your practice in a far better way while making money in a few new ways. 

Our solutions won't be for everyone right away.  Rome wasn't built in a day.

If it's good for 10% of your clients today, so be it. There are far more people today using lesser spreadsheet programs and shoe boxes than main stream digital solutions due to current costs, complexities and privacy issues that would love to work with an Honest CPA who can help lighten their load.

Section 2 - Intuit's Original Marketing Plan for Quickbooks - In Review

The History of Intuit Founders reveals they had no accounting prowess and no intentions on building a double entry accounting system when they started in the 1980s.  A digital checkbook system they called "Quicken" was all they sought to create. 

• In the late 1990s, when they started to roll out versions of Quickbooks due to a market void good Marketeers could no longer ignore, it seems they did NOT have much, if any, relevant CPA level input on their design team then either. 
• It appears software developers were doing their best to guess at functionality without sound Accounting Background, and they'd then get feedback from CPAs that would lead to changes.
• That's not a great way to build a complex software solution, and that explains many of the defects, flaws and problems that still persist today for those who take the time to try to use it in a proper and healthy way. 
• Our experience indicates most CPAs today will admit publicly that their relationship with Quickbooks and Intuit is a  "Devil You Know" kind of thing.
• Wouldn't it be a lot nicer to be able to talk about "a relationship with a great tool that was designed with proper accounting principles and global user empowerment from the get go in mind"?

The Quickbooks product gained Monopoly Market Share via CPAs. 

• They brought CPAs on first. 
• CPA's had nothing else to recommend so they shared what they were shown with Clients with an expectation of improvement over time.
• Most had no glimpse at what a Monopoly it would become with bloat, costs, complexity and the sale of massive amount of Small Business User and Industry with their Software As A Service (SaaS) offerings, as is dreadfully the case today.  
• If only they could have seen the rise of SaaS and the way Small Business User Industry data would be sold. The recommended use of a SaaS product negatively impacts their very own clients. Maybe they would have sought another solution faster as a Fraternity of Trusted Accounting Professionals had it been spelled out so clearly, as is the case now. 
• To date, we are struggling to recall what, if any, digital options CPAs recommended to small business people in the 1990s and prior for true double entry accounting. Peachtree and Sage were around, but they were quite expensive and complex. They were not a good fit for the smaller clients.
• Our recollection indicates that keeping books manually, with a bit of  summary spreadsheet support was all that was available for proper double entry accounting back then.  All we've done is digitize the manual process, and it's a shoe-in for a long term win. 

Thank goodness those times are behind us now.  We have another option now. It's time to put in the time to make the changes necessary for a bright and fulfilling future for all.  If only rectifying Intuit's Quickbooks problem was our only problem, we'd be better off and on our way to brighter days. 

Unfortunately, Intuit's Current Endeavors are getting far worse...

As of 2021, the United States is one of a few, and possibly the only 1st world country who's government does not offer its citizens a government owned software solution to file their annual Income Tax Returns. The front company blocking that effort is Intuit, with or without Microsoft and a few others in the Background. 

As a CPA, you don't file returns for folks who would want to use a Government owned system.  The businesses most affected by such a straightforward offering would be folks like Intuit (the owner of Turbo Tax) and H & R Block.  To stave off government pressures, Intuit offered to give away "free" software a few years back. That turned into a shell game of hide the freebie.  Surely you are familiar with that sham?

But it gets worse. As referenced above, Intuit owns all data entered into their SaaS solution. That data is sold to whoever wants it for whatever purposes. Imagine the problems that can be wrought on an entire industry of Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Farmers, and Contractors by Wall Streeters and Venture Capitalists who can buy a back door into any small business industry they'd like via Intuit's Market Data "purchase plans" (they do it under the guise of research). Big Pharma, the AMA and all those who support our Corrupt Medical System have surely been taking shots at our holistic medical industries for almost a century now.  What this new access via Quickbooks and SaaS has given them is beyond distressing.  Intuit has sold out Middle America. Made a mint doing it, and nobody is blinking and eye, yet. 

Intuit is now owner of Credit Karma. They have access to all consumers personal credit history. 

Intuit owns TSheets and their own Payroll System. They have access to time, attendance, and payroll for millions of employees. 

Intuit just bought Mail Chimp. They now have insight into marketing success and failure rates for small businesses around the globe. 

​If we can't undue the Personal Income Tax system that was slipped in with the creation of the FED and European Influence, at very least we can onshore the printing work done for all US Tax paper work? Why should a Dutch owned company profit from the printing of US Tax documents? Is that one of the reasons for an increase in tax regulations every year? Just more printing work for an offshore company?  Surely that's not new news to you?

As a society, we need Bold New Leaders in the Accounting Industry to start acting in a more responsible manner with regards to Intuit referrals and SaaS software referrals in general.  Allowing them to seep into every thread that made Middle America and the dream of Small Business a worth while reality is not going well.
