Licensees > Pre-Licensing Video Set 1

( Time needed for this page is approximately 35 minutes )
Trying out new Accounting Software is exhausting.

It sucks. It always has.

It's always been about signing up for trial versions and then trying to figure out what the software does and does NOT do.

Or worse, figuring out it does something but not nearly as well as you hoped it might. After that, it's always about figuring out how you are going to piece together other things you want to round out your accounting world.

All in all it's all a maze of manure most of the time....

Frankly it wore me out, and I don't want that for you or us anymore, so I created this page to try to help you get a good idea of what the ZAP Accounting Software hubbub is all about without having to lift but a few fingers.

Yes. I realize you will have to put some time in.  Approximately 35 minutes.  This is the time I had to put in each time I set someone up for the paradigm shift, and that got tiring for me, thus this video set.

Much of this is exceptional general accounting education you've not gotten anywhere else, so most will gain something for sure even if they decide ZAP Accounting Software is not a good fit.

What if we could meet in person?

If you and I met one-on-one to discuss bookkeeping and the idea of switching to ZAP Accounting Software, I would NOT start the conversation the way you think I would.
Picture
FIRST,  I'd talk to you about a simple, generic bookkeeping strategy related to doing your Tax Accounting first.

This simple income and expense account naming strategy is something many of you need to dramatically simplify your lives no matter what digital (or manual) solution you choose for bookkeeping.

Most who hear it say "Damn!  That's good stuff !  Why didn't anyone else tell me about that before?"

Picture
SECOND, I'd share with you a few simple, math based 'secrets' related aggregated reconciliation that IRS Auditors use for rapid  auditing.

As soon as I saw the filament glow I'd show you how ZAP Accounting Software's Statements Tab and reconciliation process was built to mimic the IRS Auditors aggregated reconciliation process.

  • This is the part you've been missing in your digital and manual solutions that has no equal, and this is the accounting feature you will love forever and demand always once you see it in action.

Picture
THIRD, I'd show you what a months worth of bookkeeping looks like in real time in ZAP Accounting.

I'd log in to my BofA online banking || I'd grab a bank statement || I'd  enter statement data into ZAP || I'd download transactions manually ||  I'd get those transactions into my ledgers...

All of that  lickety-split...

THEN I'd confirm that fully automated, aggregated reconciliation done successfully AND finally, I'd categorize transactions with my Tax Accounting first categories.

Done and reconciled in under 5 minutes.

How about we meet virtually?

Since you and I can't always meet in person,  and since I'd be exhausted and bored to tears saying the same thing over and over again,  I put the info I'd share in an introductory meeting in these three videos below.  I hope they hit the spot.
1) Do your Tax Accounting first, not your Cost Accounting
view (13:17)
2) Get a quick understanding of the math based truth behind IRS Auditors,  their math shortcuts, and aggregated reconciliation
view (13:38)
3) Watch one months worth of bookkeeping, included statement data entry, manual transaction downloads, ledger entry, aggregated reconciliation and transaction categorization transpire in just under five minutes...

And with that, you should now be a much wiser bookkeeper no matter what software you use!
  • Hopefully that was relatively painless.  It was as fast as I could push it and get the relevant points across, and it was FREE!
  • With this information you now have a very good idea of what you need to do with bookkeeping software to meet your tax accounting needs, and you now understand how ZAP's Statements Tab was setup with IRS Audits and your own personal efficiency in mind.
