If you are preparing a Balance Sheet digitally or manually, you are doing Double Entry Accounting.  If not, you are doing Single Entry Accounting.

• You can use this LITE module for either Single or Double Entry Accounting.
• If you opt for Double, you will need to manually create a balance sheet. We show you how to do that somewhere on this website (or we will!)

WHAT IT LACKS

• This BookkeepingLITE module does NOT have the option for automated Balance Sheet creation. 
• This BookkeepingLITE module does NOT come pre-configured to make manually importing transactions from a bank easy 
• This BookkeepingLITE module does NOT come pre-configured to provide  monthly bank reconciliation functionality  
• This lacking functionality can be copied from our Full Module into this one with a fair amount of ease, and that makes for a great educational exercise!  (But if you know you want some of that out of the gate for actually bookkeeping use or education, you're best starting with that module).

That said, don't let these lacks fool you!

• This Module is a perfect fit for tracking finances related to personal affairs, projects and small businesses as long as you are willing to manually key in transactions
• This module includes an automated Income Statement, an automated Budgeting Analysis tool and  a database style Transaction Search tool
• This module also contains a LOT of cool programming for checking data integrity, which makes for a wonderful educational tool for all.
