, but what sets us apart is our Balance Sheet and General Ledger with a toggle button to show and hide Debits and Credits.

Our Balance Sheet exposes a Start Date as well as the End Date (the report date). It provides a Green/Red color coding for Go / No Go. When Red, the user can iterate through dates until they find the date their Balance Sheet fell out of Balance, and then they can expand a report to the right and view the subset of Transactions for that date that are the only contributors to the problem. From there, they can drill down with links to make proper changes. It's just that simple and always should have been with Intuit and "friends"... (this could have been provided in the 1980's by the way...)

The rest of our Power comes from our General Ledger. It's the data table which "is" Double Entry Bookkeeping. It's that which feeds our Balance Sheet. Ours is way beyond special. Bookkeeping, accounting and financial literacy

Basic Bookkeeping involves addition and subtraction. All global citizens should have been fluent by 6th grade and well before Algebra and Geometry.
The purpose of debits and credits was to facilitate long addition and a visual cross checking system unattainable otherwise. That's all. Believe it or not.
Basic Accounting should have been taught with signed values until it was rote.
Debits and credits should have then been a tiny after thought.
They mislead you. It was intentional.
This undoes that and provides pounds of Self Empowerment too. Better late than never.

Cloud computing is "just" computing via websites instead of computing via programs that are downloaded and installed on your personal computer.
Your data and applications are stored on the Internet and you use a web browser to access them.
With this setup your data is free from viral attacks and you are no longer fully dependent on the computer sitting in front of you. If your machine goes down, you simply log into your cloud based systems from any other machine and get going in a matter of minutes.
Google Chrome (the web browser) combined with Google Drive and the Google Platform offers a user centric eco-system that is other worldly. Apple and Microsoft advertise similar systems, but they are in fact a decade behind now with no chance of catching up. With this education you will get to explore it. After getting educated, you can more properly evaluate all your options.

From the 2:30 to the 4 minute mark in this video, Evan tells you-tubers how to manually download their transactions from their bank and then categorize them for bookkeeping cost savings and simplicity. He then instructs them to send that spreadsheet to their CPA or bookkeeper for entry into Quickbooks.

Wow! What a great promotion for manually downloading and categorizing transactions from a PRO! But if you already have them categorized in spreadsheets, why send them over to anyone else to store in Quickbooks? Why not just click the 'view income statement' and 'view balance sheet' buttons and be done?

The videos below were done 1/20/2021. They provide a short intro to the bookkeeping template and complete picture of the user process. The narrator hit a snag related to the demo data in use. He used the drill down functionality in the Balance Sheet to find those, and that makes for quite an interesting real world demo and recovery too!

This is a screen shot of the Balance Sheet from the tail end of the second video below. Column V starts an expandable drill down report that enables pinpoint accuracy of Balance Sheet imbalances. Easily and Magically.

15:12 - This details the entire bookkeeping process for a months worth of Checking account data in ZAP's Bookkeeping Template. The process is simple once you see it all on display. The nice part is the continuity between steps and a lack of hidden information that prevents a full understanding of the process. A Balance Sheet imbalance is created and discussed at the end for entry level Balance Sheet Education.

10:59 - This is a follow on video for the credit card account. Towards the end there is a great example of how the Balance Sheet Drill down reporting tool was used to discover and correct a categorization error with ease. The special account that was accidentally selected that created the burp is a lead in to a story about suspended accounts, but we'll get to that a bit later !

No Debits and Credits you say?
Surely this is a Gimmick or Snake Oil maybe?
NO. Actually it's not. Quite the contrary in fact...

When something is described as "paradigm busting", or something that challenges decades or centuries of "settled science" or "understood curriculum", start out with Healthy Skepticism. More often than not it's someone like our recent example of Bill Gates selling a new version of Snake Oil for the Rockefeller Medicine Clan.

So, how can we differentiate ourselves from them?
